Retention of conservatories built without permission
Having received misleading advice this pair of young property owners had gone ahead and built identical conservatories to the rear of their respective properties. Unbeknownst to them a historic caveat had been imposed upon their properties when they were originally built. The caveat restricted all permitted development rights meaning any alterations required the approval of the local authority. Unfortunately by the time the homeowners became aware of this restriction the conservatories had already been built. RJS PLANNING intervened to hold off the councils enforcement officers & obtained retrospective permission for the conservatories to be retained in their existing form
